One of my favorites blogs is LISNews. They blog about all things librarian. If you hear of a library-related story, you can suggest they blog about it by filling out a quick form. The most recent post up there now is about how the comic strip “Unshelved” is sponsoring “Pimp My Bookcart.” If that’s not some awesome librarian news, I don’t know what is.

My post for LIS 724

This blog was born during the Spring of 2008 as part of my Internet Fundamentals and Design class. I chose this template because it has a clean look and I like the black, white and green colors. I also like that you can change the photo at the top. I picked a fuzzy ball with googly eyes partly because googly sounds like Google, and that made me chuckle. Library humor. What can I say?

I enjoy writing on my blog, but its way too easy to forget that others are also reading it. Once, I created a post complaining about a fee for LibraryThing. I was very surprised when someone from LibraryThing commented on my post. I felt pretty silly about that one.

My time to Twine

3 05 2008

I just got invited to start using Twine, a new Web 2.0 tool that allows users to store and organize all sorts of documents, web sites, and emails. You can send things to Twine by using a bookmarklet, like with, or by emailing them directly to the program. I’m still trying to figure it out (like, why can’t I make a twine called blogging just because there’s already one out there?), but once I do, I’ll let you know how it works and if I like it.

Yay new tools!
